Sometimes while walking around the SOU campus and seeing a few of the students that attend there; I think that an attorney would be smart to post a flyer up in some of the public areas advertising Criminal Defense Lawyer in Ashland.

Actually that could be said for a lot of the attorneys here in Ashland Oregon. They appear to be a close group of lawyers and judges. Each respectful of the law and their duties to uphold the law.

Last week the local newspaper published its “Best Of” list. I was just giving the list a glance expecting to see the usual “best hamburger” or “best pizza” in town, but I have to say this list was actually helpful. They listed everything that a new resident should know and even hidden gems that a longtime residence would find useful. Like the best attorney in Ashland, which I believe I recognized three out of the five names listed because of all of the activities that my son is involved in; like baseball and football.
When I have lived in other parts of the country the phone books have always been these monstrously huge things that you need two people just to lift it. In Phoenix Arizona, it is so big that if you ask to see a phone book they will most likely ask you what letter. Like your asking for an encyclopedia. I used to live in Orange County, CA and afternoon TV commercials there are so bad. The personal injury lawyers are the worst. Screeching car breaks and the sound of a crash next thing you know there is some stereotypical “ambulance chaser” encouraging you to call him. All the while some guy in back of him in a neck-brace is sitting in a wheelchair nodding his head while he holds up a fan of money in his hand. I can’t imagine a personal injury lawyer in Ashland stooping so low. The difference between TV ads and phone book ads in Orange County and Ashland Oregon are night and day.
I have always heard people complain about frivolous lawsuits, but I never really thought too much about it until it happened to me. I was served with papers a couple of months ago be some man that I have never met decided to sue me for almost a million dollars. I actually had to find an Ashland Attorney to defend me. I’m a single parent. I don’t have a million dollars, heck I am happy when I have ten dollars in my wallet.
The other night I was driving over to the ATM getting ready for a trip the following day when I came across an accident. It appeared that some of the SOU students had been drinking that night and ran their black SUV smack dab into a tree outside of one of the residence buildings. I couldn’t help thinking that they were going to need a good DUI lawyer in Ashland. The police where there, the kids didn’t look to be harmed, only a little shaken up, and thank God they didn’t hurt anyone else that night with their stupidity.
